Answers to Some Frequently Asked Questions
1. The salt never loses its effectiveness, stops working or gets smaller over time.
2. We provide lamp bases, cords, and light bulbs with every Breath of Light Lamp at no extra charge to you!!
3. Your lamps use low wattage candelabra bulbs that can be purchased at any hardware store. Just be sure to replace it with the same wattage bulb we provide. If you have any trouble finding the chandelier style, you may also use what is called an exit or indicator bulb. These bulbs are tubular in shape, and will work just fine.
4. Using the right wattage light bulb will insure the maximum ion production possible. Your lamp should be comfortably warm, not cold or hot.
5. Salt draws moisture, so keeping your lamp dry is important.
6. Leave your lamp on. It will keep the salt dry & the air clean.
7. Your Lamps repel dust, pollen, pet dander and airborne allergens and therefore won’t need to be dusted.
Changing the light bulb when it burns out is all you have to do to maintain your lamp.
8. If the light bothers you here are a couple of suggestions.
a) Use a book to deflect the light away from you.
b) You can paint the light bulb with high heat charcoal grill paint. If you choose this method you must let the paint cure completely before use (atleast 6 hrs). Use atleast 3 coats to block out most of the light.
9. If you recieved a wooden base that requires the use of bumpers the instructions are as follows:
1)Make sure bottom of base is clean and dry
2)Grasp bumper on side without touching adhesive
3)Press bumper firmly into place on bottom of base. Bumper cannot be repositioned without ruing adhesive.
